The Pakistani cricket team has made a great start in the T20 World Cup 2021 and won both its opening matches. They beat arch-rivals India by 10 wickets in Dubai and then beat New Zealand by 5 wickets. Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar took a jibe at the Kiwi team on Tuesday. Earlier this year, the New Zealand team decided to skip the Pakistan tour citing security reasons on occasion, leaving the cricket fraternity of the host country sad and angry. After this, England also withdrew from their bilateral series.

Shoaib Akhtar, famous for 'Rawalpindi Express', said on his YouTube channel, 'Congratulations to New Zealand that they did not come to Pakistan but I wanted to know were you safe in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) too? We forgot to send security inside the ground because we thought you might not feel safe even on foreign soil.'

He also reiterated that Pakistan is a safe country to play cricket and their security arrangements are top-notch. Akhtar further said, 'I request all Pakistanis, Indians and all fans to please send an e-mail to the New Zealand Cricket Board that Pakistan is a safe country but it is not safe to play with its cricket team.'

Akhtar also expressed hope that apart from Pakistan, India also reached the final of the T20 World Cup so that the fans would get to see a cricket match full of adventure. This veteran fast bowler said that the Pakistan cricket team should not be taken lightly in any way. Babar Azam and Co. have won both their matches of the Super-12 stage in the T20 World Cup so far.
