Before the start of the T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan has got good news. The team's star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and batsman Fakhar Zaman have fully recovered from the injury. Both the players are now ready to join the national team. Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman will join the Pakistan team for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Brisbane on October 15, reports DBTV Sports. This also means that Shaheen Afridi will not be part of the Pakistan squad for the tri-series in New Zealand. As per reports, NHPC coach Umar Rashid will travel to London tomorrow to assist Shaheen with the bowling, who had earlier helped Mohammad Hasnain as well. In the T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan has to play its first match against India in Melbourne on 23 October.

Shaheen was badly missed by Pakistan during the Asia Cup, in his absence the team missed out on winning the trophy after losing to Sri Lanka in the final. Shaheen was undergoing rehabilitation in London due to a knee injury and has recently started practicing bowling. At the same time, Fakhar Zaman has been kept on Pakistan's reserve team for the T20 World Cup. Haider Ali has got a place in the main team in place of Fakhar. This year of Zaman has been very bad with the bat. The left-handed batsman has scored 96 runs in seven T20Is at an average of 13.71.
