In the first match of the Test series being played between Pakistan and England, Pakistan had to face defeat by 74 runs. Pakistan had a chance to win, but the entire team was dismissed for 268 runs in the second innings. Pakistan's batsmen could not walk in the second innings.

Only Saud Shakeel could score the highest 76 runs. While he scored a century in the first innings. In the second innings, he was caught out by Ollie Pope off the ball of Ben Stokes. Babar's wicket fell in the sixth over.
