Mayank Agarwal's international career seems to be in danger at the moment. He got frequent opportunities for performing well in Test cricket. He even got a place in the ODI team, but due to poor performance in some test matches, he was dropped from the playing XI and then was also discharged from the team. After this, his IPL 2022 performance was also disappointing, which made it difficult for him to come into the team. However, 31-year-old Mayank believes that he can return to the national team.

Talking to Cricinfo about his return to international cricket, he said, "I am someone who is not going to give up. I will keep chasing it and improving my game with every passing day. Whatever comes my way." Bhi Aayega I will be very happy with him, but aspirations and dreams never die. It's just about going on the field, improving those few things, and ticking the box."

The batsman, who scored 196 runs in 12 innings in IPL 2022, performed brilliantly in the Maharaja Trophy in the local T20 tournament in Karnataka. In 11 innings he scored 480 runs at a strike rate of 167.24 with two hundred. Regarding his performance in limited overs cricket, Mayank Agarwal said, "In the last four months, I have worked very hard on my batting. As you can see, I have started sweeping the ball and doing reverse sweeps, That too against fast bowlers."

He further said, "I have opened four-five areas in my game, which are giving immense benefits. I am very happy that the hard work I have put in is paying off now. To score two centuries in a T20 tournament like the Maharaja Trophy is amazing. It feels really good when players respond to you the way they want you to. I have scored runs then I feel good and then I can lead from the front."
