The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the trophy of the ODI World Cup to be held in India this year in a very unique way. It was unveiled in the space stratosphere, which is at an altitude of 1,20, 000 feet above the earth. The temperature at that altitude was minus 65 degrees.

After that, the landing of the trophy has taken place at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. A video has been shared by BCCI Secretary Jai Shah on his Twitter account. The World Cup is to be organized in India in October-November. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) will announce the schedule of the tournament on Tuesday, June 27.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah tweeted that it is a unique moment for the cricket world when the Cricket World Cup 2023 trophy was unveiled in space. It is one of the sports trophies sent into space and marks a new milestone. Indeed the ICC Men's World Cup Trophy tour in India has got off to a great start.

The World Cup Tour begins on June 27 and the trophy will travel to 18 countries around the world including Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, USA, Nigeria, Uganda, France, Italy, and hosts India. Lakhs of cricket fans will be able to gaze at the gleaming trophy through various activities on this tour.
