Mohammed Shami-Hasin Jahan Controversy: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been ordered by a Kolkata court to pay monthly maintenance of Rs 50,000 to his wife Hasin Jahan. Jahan had made several allegations against the right-arm fast bowler four years ago. Jahan was not happy with the alimony amount to be paid by Shami after the court order. He had demanded Rs 10 lakh per month from the Indian fast bowler.

In 2018, Hasin Jahan filed a case for monthly alimony of Rs 10 lakh. He had asked for Rs 7 lakh for personal expenses and Rs 3 lakh for his daughter. In such a situation, you can appeal to the High Court for more payment. Alipore Court Judge Anindita Ganguly delivered the verdict on Monday, January 23.

Hasin Jahan filed a case against Mohammed Shami

The whole controversy started when Hasin Jahan filed a case at Jadavpur police station accusing Mohammed Shami of dowry harassment and domestic violence. He claimed that the cricketer and his family harassed him whenever he visited his hometown in Uttar Pradesh. Mohammed Shami clarified this.
