India's wicket-keeper batsman KS India failed with the bat in the first innings of the World Test Championship final. Bharat was dismissed for five runs off 15 balls, on Friday (June 9) on the third day of the match, he was clean-bowled by Scott Boland.

Bharath had a chance to take over the team by partnering with Ajinkya Rahane, but he missed it. This is KS Bharath's fifth Test for India, he got to bat in seven innings.

KS Bharat has not been able to score a single half-century in seven innings so far. Bharat was given preference over Ishaan Kishan, but he could not take advantage of the opportunity. Bharat has played innings of 8, 6, 23 *, 17, 3, 44, and 5 runs in seven innings so far.
