India's PV Sindhu advanced to the semifinals of the Indonesian Open 2021 after defeating Germany's Yvonne Lee in a straight set in the women's singles at the Indonesian Open on Thursday. Third seed Sindhu performed well against Yuen and won 21-12, 21-18 in just 37 minutes.

Both players played well in the first game after an early exchange. Meanwhile, Sindhu took the lead 6-4 and maintained the lead till the end of the game and won the match.

Yoon, meanwhile, made a good comeback in the second game. Yoon continued to outscore Sindhu in terms of numbers after a good performance. In return, the 26-year-old from Hyderabad took the lead and won his second game.

Now it will be decided after the next game who will face Sindhu in the semi-finals. Because there will be a fight between Sim Yu-Jin of South Korea and Beatriz Corales of Spain. Sindhu will play her semi-final match with the winner of the match.

She defeated Aya Ohori of Japan in Wednesday's match. Sindhu made a good comeback by winning the match which lasted for three sets. Meanwhile, defending champions Sindhu made a comeback after losing the first game and defeated Japan's Ohori 17-21, 21-17, 21-17 in a match that lasted one hour and ten minutes.
