Music legend Lata Mangeshkar and cinema's renowned actor Dilip Kumar was seen missing from the 'In Memoriam' section of the 94th Academy Awards. The absence of the two stalwarts of Indian cinema from the 2022 Oscars ceremony came as a surprise, especially after the British Academy Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) remembered and honored the late Lata Mangeshkar and Dilip Kumar earlier this month.
In 2021, the Oscars featured actors Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Oscar-winning costume designer Bhanu Athaiya in its tribute section. In such a situation, his fans were very angry for not remembering Lata Mangeshkar and Dilip Kumar.
