The unbreakable partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill

Shikhar Dhawan and Shubhman Gill started the innings for Team India, who achieved the target of 190 runs in the match. These two players looked attractive all around the field during their innings.

Shikhar Dhawan scored an unbeaten 81 and Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 82. Shubman Gill hit 10 fours and a six in 72 balls. While Dhawan faced 111 balls during his innings of 85 runs, he had hit 9 fours.

The captain looked unhappy after being defeated in the first ODI at the hands of India

The hosts' captain Regis Chakabva looked disappointed after the visiting team suffered a crushing 10-wicket defeat in the match. Regis Chakabva, during the post-match presentation, said that the Indian bowlers bowled really well, put pressure on us and we lost our way after the first 4-5 overs.

Nice to see Richie (Nagasawa) and Brad finally giving us that partnership. We needed one or two big partnerships, but that didn't happen today. Our bowlers tried to work hard on him but obviously, he batted really well and took the game away from us. We'll chat today, keep our heads up and come back strongly on Saturday."

Significantly, the Indian team defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the first ODI. Now the second match of the ODI series between the two teams will be played on August 20 at Harare Sports Club. After the completion of the three-match series against Zimbabwe, Team India will fly to the United Arab Emirates to play in the Asia Cup.
