The Indian team for the West Indies tour has been announced. Many players have not been selected despite performing brilliantly in the first class. Players like Sarfaraz Khan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, and Priyank Panchal were expected to get a chance, but none of them found a place in the team. The selectors have not given any explanation for not picking these players. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu Easwaran has confirmed that he was not informed about this by the board.

Easwaran was asked in an interview whether anyone from the BCCI has approached him to talk about those things, to which he said, "No, I haven't had any communication so far." The 27-year-old player has been given the command of East Zone in Duleep Trophy.

Easwaran eyes better performance
Easwaran said, “Irrespective of whether I am selected or not, I want to get better as a cricketer. I want to raise the bar and get better every day. Selection is something that is not in my hands but one has to improve every day. I can work to contribute more to my team, no matter which team I play for, be it club, state, India A, East Zone, or the Indian team. The process has always been the same, I just want to focus on that. I don't want to give up. I just want to focus on getting better.
