IND vs SA: Before the South Africa series, the Indian team suffered a major setback, including Hardik Pandya, 3 players were out!

Team India has to play a series of three T20 matches against South Africa. Its first match is to be played on 28 September at the Cricket Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, although before this Team India has suffered a major setback.

Actually, according to PTI, two-star players of the team have been out of this series due to injury. Players whose names have been revealed. They include the names of Deepak Hooda and Mohammed Shami. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya was rested by the BCCI. In such a situation, the absence of these three players can make it difficult for the Indian team.

According to PTI, spin all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has got a chance in place of Hardik Pandya. Apart from this, Shreyas Iyer in place of Deepak Hooda, and Umesh Yadav in place of Mohammed Shami have been included in the team.

On the selection of Shahbaz Ahmed in the team, a senior BCCI source told PTI, "Is there any fast bowler all-rounder who can replace Hardik Pandya? Raj Bawa is new now and so we put him in India A for exposure. It will need time to bloom."

At the same time, a BCCI source informed PTI, “Mohammed Shami has not been able to recover due to Covid 19. He needs more time and hence will be out of the South Africa series as well. Umesh Yadav will continue as Shami's replacement for the South Africa series.

South Africa's team will come to the India tour and play their first T20 match on 28 September in Thiruvananthapuram. The second T20 match will be played on October 2 in Guwahati. The third and final match of the series is to be played in Indore on October 4. India will then play 3 ODIs against South Africa in Lucknow on 6 October, Ranchi on 9 October, and Delhi on 11 October.
