Shakib Al Hasan Murder Case: Former Bangladesh cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan is currently the center of discussion on murder charges. Shakib is often surrounded by controversies due to his angry attitude, but now he has been charged with serious murder charges in his own country, for which he may have to go to jail. On one hand, a case has been registered against him in Bangladesh, but he is currently busy in a 2-Test match series in Pakistan.

What is the matter?

In fact, a person named Rafikul Islam has filed a case against Shakib Al Hasan at the Adabor Police Station in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Rafikul's son, Rubel, died on 7 August during the ongoing protests in Bangladesh. A media report said that Rubel was shot in the chest and abdomen during the protest on the ring road in Dhaka.

A total of 154 people are included in the list of accused given by Rafiqul Islam. Shakib's name is at number 28 in the list of accused and apart from him, Bangladeshi actor Firdaus Ahmed has also been accused of murder. Shakib has also come under target because he was elected MP from the Awami League party in 2023, but due to the protests in Bangladesh, the Awami League government has fallen.

Former prime minister also accused

Before the coup, Sheikh Hasina was working as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Rafiqul Islam has named former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and many other celebrities in the murder of his son. An FIR has been lodged against 154 people, but apart from them, 400-500 people have been held responsible for Rubel's death, who have not been identified yet.

Will Shakib Al Hasan's career come to an end?

A few days after Sheikh Hasina resigned, Mohammad Yunus has become the interim Prime Minister of Bangladesh. When these allegations surfaced, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) issued a statement saying that Shakib will continue to play for the national team until the allegations against him are proven. For this reason, he was not called back from the series against Pakistan.
