After the 2021 Indian Premier League season with Delhi Capitals, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will play in Virat Kohli's Indian Team's World Class Playing XI. Former world champions India will take on Pakistan in the opening match of the ICC World T20 at the Dubai International Stadium. Pant is known for his batting prowess. And besides, he's also known for his weird shots. India will play their first match in the T20 World Cup 2021 on October 24 against Pakistan. Earlier, former Pakistan captain Salman Butt had said some important things about Pant's batting. Button has described Pant as a moody batsman.

Butla when asked if Pant could be an X factor for Team India? He said, "He's very moody. He gets on the field and tries to hit when he's nowhere. And, he does it so often that other teams have started to expect his moves. I think Rishabh Pant is a bit expected," Butt said. Known for his explosive batting style, the Delhi Capitals captain was among the top 10 run scorers in IPL 2021. With the highest score of 58, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman scored 419 runs for the Delhi Capitals in 16 IPL matches. Under his leadership, Delhi Capitals topped the league rankings but failed to secure a place in the DC finals.

"He has to bat with a more mature mindset. He's very smart and he has such a high range of strokes. But the teams are aware that he will start playing big shots from the first ball or after 2-3 balls. So he needs to work on what he needs." Button continued. Pant will be representing Team India for the first time in the ICC T20 World Cup. Earlier, he was part of the Indian team in the 2019 ODI World Cup. He could not do anything special at that time but considering his form this year, the team has high hopes for him.
