The 'Lord of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar has become enamored of Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj. Siraj is currently on a tour of South Africa with the Indian team. The first match of the three-Test series between India and South Africa is to be played from 26 December. Indian Test captain Virat Kohli can give Siraj a chance along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami in the first Test match. Siraj has impressed everyone since his Test debut on Australian soil. Sachin has also praised the 27-year-old fast bowler's energy and body language.

Sachin Tendulkar said about Siraj in an interview with sports journalist Boria Majumdar, "He has a spring in his legs, which I love to see. You see his run-up. He looks full of energy. Mohammad Siraj is one of those bowlers, looking at whom you cannot guess whether he is bowling the first over of the day or the last. He bowls with full stamina, which I love."

Siraj took two wickets in the first innings and three wickets in the second innings against Australia in the debut Test. Recalling his debut, Sachin said that in the first international match itself, Siraj took 5 wickets and showed that he is a mature bowler. Sachin further said that this Indian bowler maintains constant pressure. Seeing his maturity, I felt like this player has been playing for a long time. Siraj prepares his spell brilliantly. Whenever I see him, he comes up with something new.

After praising Tendulkar, Siraj thanked him. Siraj tweeted, 'Thank you Sachin sir. This is very encouraging for me. I will always do my best for the country. Stay healthy sir."

Mohammad Siraj made his debut for India against Australia in the Boxing Day Test match played in Melbourne last year. He has 33 wickets in 10 test matches.
