Disney Star on Tuesday signed a licensing agreement with Zee Network giving it the rights to broadcast all International Cricket Council (ICC) men's and U-19 competitions for the 2024-2027 cycle.

The digital rights to the ICC tournaments were retained by Disney Star. Existing ICC rights holders last week made a winning bid of nearly $3 billion to acquire the rights to the Indian market.

The agreement will give Zee the rights to broadcast ICC men's competitions, including the 2024 and 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cups, the 2025 Champions Trophy, and the 2027 ODI World Cup. The two media companies will share the financial burden under this agreement.

Disney Star emerged victorious in the bidding process last week, overcoming tough competition from Viacom 18, Sony Sports, and Zee.
