World Cup-winning captain, Ricky Ponting has predicted Virat Kohli's performance in the ongoing World Cup 2023 with a view to breaking the great Sachin Tendulkar's ODI record of scoring most centuries.

Currently, Sachin tops the list with 49 centuries in 463 One Day Internationals, followed by Kohli who has scored 47 centuries.

According to the latest episode of the ICC Review Podcast, Ricky Ponting said, “Virat Kohli will definitely hit two centuries in the World Cup 2023. Even if he scores his third century then it is a different matter. At present, Virat Kohli is in excellent form. Virat Kohli seems very hungry for runs. Virat Kohli wants to win every match for Team India. In the World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli will have every chance to break Sachin's great record.

This year, Kohli has already scored two ODI centuries and India has at least eight more ODIs to play in the ongoing World Cup 2023 tournament. So, this could be a chance for Kohli to achieve a record of scoring most ODI centuries or even equal Sachin's record.
