Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has been discharged from hospital on Friday. Ganguly was infected with the corona virus and was admitted to Woodland Hospital in Kolkata. On Monday, Ganguly underwent a corona test, which was reported to be positive.

Hospital officials said the former captain would remain in isolation at home under the supervision of doctors and would not be infected with Kovid's Omicron form. "We have discharged Ganguly this afternoon," a hospital official told PTI. He will have to stay at home under the supervision of doctors for the next fortnight. Further treatment will then be decided.

The year 2021 has been very bad for Sourav Ganguly in terms of health. Earlier this year, Sourav Ganguly had to be hospitalized. In January 2021, Sourav Ganguly underwent angioplasty following a heart problem.
