Veteran fast bowler James Anderson has said that England will play more positively and more aggressively to level the Ashes series at Lord's next week. In the First Test at Edgbaston, Australia won the match by two wickets after England captain Ben Stokes declared their first innings at 393 for eight. Some critics said that this decision helped Australia to get hold of the match. Australia took advantage of England's decision. Now the second Test will be played at the historic Lord's from June 28.
The 40-year-old Anderson had a difficult last Test as he got just one wicket. This veteran fast bowler of England said- I think we will be more positive, more aggressive, more entertaining in the next Test. We want to try to make sure that people go home as happy as they did every day at Edgbaston.
Anderson said, "Just because we are 1-0 down, I don't think we will try to do anything different. I think we did enough last week to show that if we keep playing like this and If we keep fighting, we can win the next four matches. We will continue in the same way."
Anderson made this statement at the London Stadium, where he had arrived to watch a baseball match between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals. Nathan Lyon of Australia was also present with him during this period. The 35-year-old Lyon said, "It was an incredible Test win and to be able to play a part in it was very special. It is for me one of the best Test matches that I have played."
Leon said – The mood has changed. We need to do a lot of work. We feel we can still do a lot better and we need to do a lot better if we want to compete against England and their brand of cricket. In the first Test at Edgbaston, England declared their first innings at 393 for eight. Australia had scored 386 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, England scored 273 runs and had set a target of 281 runs in front of the Kangaroos. Australia achieved the target by losing eight wickets on the fifth day.
