Two ministers from the Bharatiya Janata Party's Uttar Pradesh government, Swami Prasad Maurya and Dharamsinh Saini, today joined the Samajwadi Party along with their supporters.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh welcomed him to the party.

Five BJP MLAs also joined the Samajwadi Party. Apna Dal MLAs who support Bharatiya Janata Party have also joined Samajwadi Party.

Akhilesh Yadav has said that today's program has made the BJP lose its grip on the state. Maurya has said that the party ended after I left the Bahujan Samaj Party and now that I have left the BJP, so will the BJP.

After Dharamsinh Saini clarified that there is no fact in the news that he will leave the BJP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lost its temper 24 hours after Maurya's resignation. All of them are from OBC groups. Therefore, it is believed that the BJP has suffered a major blow.
