OMRICON: The Omicron variant, which increases the speed of corona infection worldwide, is proving to be stronger than Delta in many countries. The speed of Omicron infection can be gauged from the fact that within just one month it has spread to 108 countries of the world. Not only this, till now 1.51 lakh cases of this variant have been reported. The first case of Omicron was reported in South Africa on 24 November. Let us know in which countries Omicron is proving to be more deadly than Delta.

Every fourth patient in America is of a new type
The delta variant was the reason behind 0.31 of the total corona cases coming to America till April 19. By the end of June, this figure increased to 50. A month later, by the end of July, Delta was responsible for more than 90 cases. There has been a huge increase in the rate of infection in America. As of 22 December, every fourth case is coming due to Omicron.

Infection accelerates in Germany
When the Delta variant was introduced in Germany, it was responsible for 0.69 cases. It was only after the arrival of Omicron that it was responsible for 9 cases.

Delta
This variant had a total of 18 mutations in the spike protein. The virus enters the body only through the spike protein.
Whereas only 2 mutations occurred in the delta variant. The receptor-binding domain is the part of the virus that first comes into contact with a human body cell.
The R-value was 6-7. That is, one infected person can spread the virus to 6-7 people.

95 cases in South Africa
In May where Delta was behind only 2 new cases which reached 89 by 12 July. At the same time, the case of Omicron came on 24 November. There it is behind 95 cases.

Records were broken in Britain
Till 5 April in Britain, only 0.10 cases were coming due to Delta, which increased to 74 by the end of May. Till June, the delta variant was the reason behind more than 90 cases. At the same time, due to Omicron, corona infection has broken records in Britain within a month. India: Transition in 17 states
In India, Omicron has spread to 17 states within just 22 days. On December 2, Omicron's first case was found. So far, more than 300 cases of this variant have been reported in the country.
Omicron
A total of 53 mutations have occurred, out of which 32 mutations have occurred in its spike protein.
There have also been 10 mutations in the receptor-binding domain
The R-value of Omicron is about six times higher than Delta, which means that a patient infected with Omicron will spread the infection to 35-45 people
