Last week, the total market capitalization of five of the country's 10 most valuable companies increased by Rs 1,01,145.09 crore. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) topped the list.

Reliance Industries Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Wipro were among the gainers during the period under review, while HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance and State Bank of India declined.

Sensex gained 112.57 points

The BSE Sensex had gained 112.57 points, or 0.10 per cent, in the previous week. Tata Consultancy Services' market cap increased by Rs 30,20.62 crore to Rs 13,57,644.33 crore during the period. Reliance Industries added Rs 21,035.95 crore and its market cap stood at Rs 16,04,154.56 crore.

The market cap of IT companies increased

Infosys' market cap increased by Rs 17,656.95 crore to Rs 7,83,779.99 crore and Hindustan Unilever Ltd's market cap increased by Rs 16,000.71 crore to Rs 5,40,053.55 crore.

Wipro's market cap increased by Rs 15,730.86 crore to Rs 3,82,857.25 crore. On the other hand, HDFC Bank's market cap fell by Rs 18,619.95 crore to Rs 7,97,609.94 crore. HDFC's market cap fell by Rs 15,083.97 crore to Rs 4,58,838.89 crore and State Bank of India's market cap fell by Rs 9,727.82 crore to Rs 4,07,720.88 crore.
