Japan will build a railgun to counter enemy countries

This railgun will thwart any attack

Disputes with Russia and China over islands

Japan has stepped up its defense preparations in view of the growing reach of hypersonic missiles from China, Russia and North Korea.

Japan is planning to develop a railgun that can destroy any hypersonic missile. Japan has long had disputes with Russia and China over islands in the East China Sea. North Korea, on the other hand, has repeatedly threatened Japan in support of China.

According to reports, Japan's Defense Ministry said it was working on developing railgun technology. This railgun will be able to fire a projectile (shell) by passing an electric current through a magnetic field. Rails developed on this technology can fire shells much faster in less time than other weapons. Its speed will also be higher than the shell fired from a conventional weapon.

This system will provide Japan with many levels of security

This next generation system will also provide Japan with several levels of security along with long range missiles. Hypersonic weapons fly five times faster than sound. Russia and China are currently at the forefront of developing hypersonic weapons. Russia has the world's fastest flying hypersonic missile, the Zircon. While China is also constantly testing and deploying hypersonic missiles.

Japanese policymakers see hypersonic weapons as the next generation of military weapons. He believes that Japan urgently needs to strengthen its defensive capabilities, especially in the context of China. This is why the Japanese Ministry of Defense is developing a railgun system not to intercept missiles but to kill any shell.

Dispute between Japan and China over islands

China and Japan have been at loggerheads over islands along the East China Sea. Both countries lay claim to these desolate islands. Known as Senkaku in Japan and Dios in China. The islands have been administered by Japan since 1972. While China claims that these islands come under its jurisdiction, Japan should give up its claim. Not only that, the Chinese Communist Party has threatened military action to capture him.

Dispute between Russia and Japan

Japan claims its territorial rights over the Kuril Islands. Japan calls these islands the Northern Territory. The islands were occupied by the Soviet Union in the last days of World War II, and the islands have been in dispute ever since. Decades of diplomatic efforts for reconciliation talks have yet to yield clear results. Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has also made several efforts to end the dispute with Russia.
