In-principle approval has been given for the recruitment of 1248 scientists in the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), which is playing an important role in promoting Make in India in the country. Under the decision, the recruitment process of scientists in a phased manner will be completed within the next three-four years. Actually, DRDO is currently facing a shortage of scientists. According to Defense Ministry sources, the Finance Ministry has given in-principle approval to this proposal.

PRIS demand to encourage
Similarly, there is a demand for implementation of Performance Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS) to encourage the scientists of DRDO. This type of plan is in ISRO and Department of Atomic Energy. DRDO scientists are also demanding its implementation. The Defense Ministry said that this issue is also being looked into seriously.
