The Election Commission of India (ECI) has revised the date of Rajasthan Assembly elections to November 25. The Election Commission had earlier scheduled voting for November 23. The counting of votes will take place on December 3.

The change in polling date was made following issues raised by various political parties, representations from social organizations, and various media platforms considering the large-scale marriage/social gathering on that day, which may cause inconvenience to a large number of people. Various logistics related to the issue and during voting may reduce voter participation, the ECI said.
