What is NDA
NDA (National Defense Academy) is known as the institute for training youth to become officers directly in the army. Along with NDA, IMA is also one of the best defense training institutes. The NDA exam is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The age limit has been set for the aspirant who is willing to take the exam. Qualification for NDA
NDA is a training institute in which the main exam is conducted by UPSC. Eligibility and some standards are already fixed for appearing in this examination. For example, to join the army, the youth must be 12th pass. For Army, there is no mandatory condition to pass the 12th examination in any particular subject but for the Air force and Navy, the candidate must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as one of the subjects in the 12th. At the same time, only a bachelors can apply for this job. This means NDA does not allow married.

The Supreme Court in its important interim order ruled in favor of applying for women in 2021. After the order, the doors of the country's best military training school could be opened for women. With this, the way for women to be directly selected as officers in the army and to enter the army was cleared. According to UPSC, the same eligibility rules will apply to men and women.
