This incident is from Gumaria village of Madhuban block of East Champaran, Bihar. Here a youth named Chunnu Ram killed his girlfriend Pooja by chopping her with an axe. Chunnu Ram, a resident of Gumaria village of Madhuban police station area, was having an affair with Pooja, who lived in her maternal home. Chunnu, along with his friends, killed her. When the police came to know about this, they took immediate action and arrested three youths on charges of murder.

The accused had first threatened to kill

According to the information, Chunnu Ram and his girlfriend broke up five months ago. Chunnu had threatened that if the girl got married to someone else, he would kill her. He planned the murder along with his friends and killed her by attacking her with an axe. Earlier, the girl's family had tried to resolve the matter through the Panchayat after knowing about Chunnu and Pooja's love affair, but Chunnu carried out his threat and killed Pooja.

Nisha was alone at home on the day of the murder

The deceased's sister Aarti alleged that Chunnu had already threatened to kill her. Pooja had been living at her maternal grandmother's house in Gurmia since childhood. She had passed her intermediate examination this year. According to her mother, a boy from the village used to talk to her daughter on mobile and tried to defame her. But no one had thought that the result would be so terrible.
