Homosexuality and parenting has always been a controversial issue around the world and is being debated more and more. Every country has different laws for gay men and women. But today, the Israeli government has taken an important and historic decision in this matter and has allowed gay young men and women to become parents.

Israel has lifted restrictions on gay couples and single men becoming parents through surrogacy in the country and allowed such people to have children through surrogacy and become parents.

"This is a historic day for the LGBTQ race in Israel," said Nitzhan Horowitz, Israel's health minister.

Israel's Supreme Court ruled in July last year that surrogacy bans for gay couples and single men violated their moral rights and that the law should be repealed within the next six months.
