Delhi New CM Announcement: The name of the new Chief Minister of Delhi can be announced today. Arvind Kejriwal will go to submit his resignation to the Lieutenant Governor only after the name is decided... Know who is leading in the race...

Arvind Kejriwal may resign from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi today.

Arvind Kejriwal Resignation: Tuesday is a very special day for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Today, on one hand, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has to choose its Chief Minister and on the other hand, Arvind Kejriwal is going to submit his resignation to the Lieutenant Governor today. Although Arvind Kejriwal must have made up his mind about whom he will make the Chief Minister of Delhi in his place, but to avoid any kind of dispute in the party, on Monday, Arvind Kejriwal held 'one-on-one' discussions with party leaders during the meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) regarding the name of the new CM of Delhi.

When will the decision be taken?

After this meeting, AAP leader and Chief Minister candidate Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the party's PAC meeting was held at Kejriwal's official residence. During the meeting, Arvind Kejriwal took the opinion of each leader one by one regarding the name of the Chief Minister. Tomorrow (on Tuesday) there is a meeting of the legislative party. Now this will be discussed in it. According to the information, AAP MLAs will hold a meeting at Kejriwal's residence on Tuesday at 11:30 am and will discuss the name of his successor as the Chief Minister of Delhi. This can go on till around 4 pm. The reason is that Arvind Kejriwal has been given time to meet Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at 4:30 pm and during this time he can submit his resignation.

Why are Atishi and Saurabh contenders?

After being released from Tihar Jail on bail in the excise policy case, Arvind Kejriwal had said on Sunday that he would resign within 48 hours and demand early elections in Delhi. He had said that until the people give him a "certificate of honesty", he will not sit on the Chief Minister's chair. Although apart from Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi's name is leading in this race, but the count is getting longer. The names of Saurabh and Atishi are in more discussion because these two have the maximum number of ministries right now. Atishi was brought in place of Manish Sisodia. Now Arvind Kejriwal has also said about Manish Sisodia that until the public does not vote for him considering him honest, then Sisodia will also not become a minister along with him.

Why not Sunita Kejriwal?

There are speculations from Gopal Rai to Kuldeep Kumar, Kailash Gehlot, Raghav Chadha, Rakhi Birlan in the race to become the Chief Minister. However, there is no name of Sanjay Singh, who is considered to be the most vocal. However, there is a lot of discussion about the claim of Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal. However, the only problem in this, as told by a legal expert, is that Sunita Kejriwal is not an MLA yet. Also, there is no second house in Delhi. If Kejriwal makes her the Chief Minister, then according to the Constitution, Sunita will have to become an MLA and come to the Assembly within 6 months. At the same time, the term of the Delhi Assembly is till February 2025. In such a situation, the party may face more embarrassment in making Sunita Kejriwal the Chief Minister. In such a situation, Kejriwal will obviously prefer to walk on the safe side. However, Arvind Kejriwal is considered an expert in taking risks. However, it is certain that Kejriwal will give his chair to a very trustworthy person.
