Four more passengers have died in the Kedarnath pilgrimage. The death toll of devotees on Kedarnath pilgrimage continues unabated. So far 82 devotees have died during the pilgrimage. Lal Man Yadav, 62, a resident of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh, who was on a Kedarnath pilgrimage on Tuesday, suddenly fell ill in Sonprayag. He was taken to Sitapur Health Center, where doctors declared him dead. Prashant Bansi Jalukkar (age 63), a passenger from Maharashtra, fell ill during the trek and was rushed to the health center.

Apart from this, Satyanarayana Shamri (age 70), a resident of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, fell ill and was taken to a health center in Rampur, where he was pronounced dead. While 67-year-old Tulachi Devi from Churu, Rajasthan was visiting the Kedarnath temple. In the meanwhile he fainted as he approached the horse. He was taken to base camp Kedarnath in a dead condition. Police have sent the four bodies to the district hospital for postmortem. So far, 82 passengers have died since the gates were opened.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. B.K. Shukla said four more devotees died during the Kedarnath pilgrimage. All these pilgrims died before reaching the health center. He said 2,131 pilgrims were given health check-ups and treatment on Tuesday, while 240 passengers were given oxygen. Now 78 thousand 740 pilgrims have been given health check up and treatment by OPD, while 4089 passengers have been provided oxygen facility.
