In the early hours of Friday, in a joint operation by STF, SOG and local police, when an attempt was made to arrest Ajay, he opened fire on the police team. During this, the police retaliated. The bullet hit his leg. He has been admitted to the hospital. The looted silver has also been recovered from him. Ajay Yadav alias DM already has 5 cases registered against him, which include cases of robbery, theft and dacoity. Of these, three cases are registered in Jaunpur and one each in Pratapgarh and Sultanpur. Ajay Yadav is basically a resident of Singramau police station area of ​​Jaunpur.

On August 28, five miscreants on two bikes robbed jewellery and cash worth crores from a jeweler named Bharat Ji Soni in broad daylight in the Chowk area of ​​​​Nagar Kotwali in Sultanpur. After this incident, the police killed the main accused Mangesh Yadav in an encounter, while three accused were caught after the encounter. Another accused Vipin surrendered. UP Police has arrested 9 people in this case so far. The search for other accused is on. Five accused carried out the incident, while another group of miscreants covered the miscreants present at the scene.

Police had released CCTV footage and photos

Police had also released CCTV videos and photographs along with the names of the accused who committed the robbery. According to the police, there were five accused present at the spot during the robbery of a jewellery shop in Sultanpur on August 28. These accused were Ankit, Arbaaz, Mangesh Yadav, Anuj Pratap Singh and Furkan who entered the shop and committed the robbery. Police had said that Mangesh Yadav had entered wearing a helmet. Anuj Pratap Singh was the first to enter the shop wearing a white towel and white shirt. Mangesh, who was killed in the encounter, was the third to enter wearing a helmet and was threatening the people inside by pointing a pistol at them. Police said that accused Furkan had entered wearing a black helmet and wearing a pistol and accused Ankit Yadav was filling the stolen goods in a bag. After committing the crime, the criminals had arranged for Tribhuvan Kori's Bolero to escape with the looted goods. In the CCTV, Tribhuvan was seen filling petrol in his Bolero at a petrol pump before the crime. UP Police had released CCTV footage of Tribhuvan filling petrol in his Bolero car.

After the incident on August 28, on September 1, Sultanpur police arrested Tribhuvan Kori, Sachin Singh and Pushpendra Singh after injuring them in an encounter. Vipin surrendered later. That means four accused have been arrested in this case, while Mangesh was killed by the police.

ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash had told that on 28 August, Vipin Singh's gang had looted crores. This gang has earlier also carried out the incident in Lucknow and Surat. Before the incident, the gang had done recce. Investigation revealed that the accused had stolen 2 motorcycles from Jaunpur, in which Mangesh Yadav had a role. After the arrest of the accused, 2.633 kg gold, 15.26 grams silver and Rs 45700 cash have been recovered from them. In this incident, there was a role in stealing 2 motorcycles for loot and Bolero was used to escape. Mapping was done on the basis of surveillance and evidence was collected.

It has been revealed that the accused of this incident, Vipin Singh, had done a recce on the 13th and 15th. The criminals had come in two groups to commit this crime. Apart from this, Vipin Singh, Vinay Shukla, Arvind, Vivek and Durgesh had surrounded the shop so that if there is any problem, these people can fire and save themselves from the police.
