According to US data, the average number of civilian guns in the USA is 120.5 guns per 100 people. This does not include the number of guns held by the police or security forces. This number is double the number of guns held by people in Yemen. Yemen has 52.8 guns per 100 people.

Around 10 thousand children have died in three years

According to the research report, 4752 children have died in gun firing in America in 2021. In most cases, the accused who fired were either teenagers or young people. Similarly, 4,368 children have been killed in gun firing in 2020, while 3,390 children were killed in 2019. Gun violence has been the number one cause of death of children in the United States since 2020. Black children used about 67% of arms for murders, while white children used weapons in 78 percent of suicide cases.

On average, 1.5 mass killings occur every day

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been at least 385 mass shootings in the US so far in 2024. Many people have been killed in these. There is an average of more than 1.5 mass shooting incidents every day in the USA.
