However, you don't need to do much to increase knee strength. There are much yoga poses that help in providing extra strength to your knees. So, in this article today, Jitendra Kaushik, founder and yoga expert of Blossom Yoga, is telling you which yoga asanas you can practice improving knee strength-

Tadasana

Tadasana helps you to create a proper alignment, which helps you in the healing of knee injuries. In addition, this asana also helps in providing strength to the knees.

  • To practice this asana, you should stand straight by laying on a mat.
  • During this, keep some distance between your feet.
  • Now taking a deep breath, raise both your arms above your head.
  • However, your hands should be straight.
  • Usually, in this asana, the heels are raised, but if you have knee pain, keep your soles on the ground.
  • Note that during this asana you feel a stretch in the whole body.
  • Stay like this for some time and then exhale and come back to your starting position.

Setubandhasana

Setubandhasana is a yoga asana that strengthens your back, glutes and hamstrings as well as strengthens the knees.

  • To practice this asana, first of all, lie down on your back by laying on a yoga mat.
  • Now bend your legs at the knees.
  • You keep your hands on the ground.
  • Now raise your hips as high as possible from the floor.
  • Stay in this position for some time and then come back to the normal position.

Balasan

Balasana is such an asana, which does better stretching of your knees and ankles as well as back, hips, and thighs, which strengthens them.

  • To practice this asana, first of all, sit on a mat with your knees bent.
  • While breathing in Vajrasana, move both hands up.
  • Now bend forward and try to touch the forehead with the ground.
  • Stay in this position for a few seconds and then return to the normal position.

Trikonasana

Trikonasana is such an asana, which strengthens your muscles. This asana corrects the body posture and strengthens from the feet to the knees.

  • To practice this asana, you stand on a yoga mat.
  • Make some distance between your feet.
  • Now spread your hands straight to the side.
  • Now draw the breath inwards and lift the right hand and bring it near the ear.
  • Now bend the left leg out and while exhaling bend the waist to the left.
  • Now try to bring your right-hand parallel to the ground. Also, try to touch the left ankle with the left hand.
  • Stay in this position for a few moments and then return to the starting position.
  • Now repeat the same exercise from the other side.
  • Practice this asana as much as you can.
