If we look at the statistics of the last decade, we find that the risk of many types of health problems is increasing rapidly in the country. Diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer have emerged as a big threat. Health experts say that some diseases especially affect women and serious conditions have also been seen developing due to lack of proper diagnosis and treatment.

In one such recent study, a team of scientists said that about 43 million (4.3 crore) women in India may be suffering from endometriosis. This disease is considered to be a major factor in reproductive problems and can even lead to serious problems like infertility. Young girls are also being found victims of this, which is worrying.

This disease is increasing all over the world
Data suggests that approximately 190 million (19 crore) girls and women of reproductive age globally may have endometriosis. In India, this problem has been detected in 10 percent of women of reproductive age between 15 to 49 years.

Indian researchers at the George Institute for Global Health reported that endometriosis is getting little or no attention in many countries of the world, including India. The worrying thing is that most of the women are also unaware of this health problem. Due to a lack of awareness, the disease cannot be treated and treated in time.

Endometriosis and the problems caused by it
Health experts say that women suffering from endometriosis often suffer from pain (pelvic, back, and stomach) along with many complex symptoms. Due to hormonal changes in the body during the menstrual cycle, cells in the tissue like endometrial (lining of the uterus) start growing and then breaking down, which can cause bleeding problems.

During periods, menstrual blood goes out of the body but bleeding caused by the breakdown of cells remains inside the body, which can lead to inflammation and many diseases caused by it. If this problem is not properly diagnosed and treated in time, it can also lead to reproductive disorders.

What do experts say?
Dr. Preeti Rajbangshi, Senior Research Fellow, at India's Global Women's Health Program at the Institute, says, that due to a lack of attention to menstrual pain and a lack of awareness about the problem of endometriosis, this disease is not detected on time. Which can increase serious problems internally.

The researchers say, our findings emphasize the need to make people aware of the need to improve the early diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis in women. It is very important to pay attention to its symptoms and seek medical advice.

How to identify this disease
Health experts say that women suffering from endometriosis may experience cramps and pain during menstruation, severe pain in the stomach or back between menstruation, pain during sex, and heavy bleeding during periods. The problem of endometriosis, if not taken care of, can also cause difficulty in conceiving.

If someone in your family has already had this problem, then you may also be at risk of endometriosis. It becomes necessary to pay serious attention to the problems occurring during menstruation.
