These emojis can be sent directly from the official WhatsApp keyboard. Earlier the new 21 emojis were not visible on the official WhatsApp keyboard as they were under development. However, they could be sent using an alternate keyboard.
According to the report, some users will be able to access the new emoji from the official WhatsApp keyboard from today. Users will also be able to use them on different versions of the app. It has been said in the report that to use them, users will have to download their account in the latest version.
Apart from this, it has been said in the report that the new emoji has ended the confusion spread among the users, because they could receive these emojis, but could not send them. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is reportedly developing a new feature. Its name is silence, unknown callers. This will allow users to mute incoming calls from unknown numbers appearing in the call list and notification center.
The new feature is currently under development on WhatsApp Beta for Android. Apart from this, WhatsApp is rolling out a new 'Push name in the chat list' feature on iOS beta. According to WABetaInfo's report, whenever users get a message from an unknown member of the group, beta testers will see the push name in the chat list instead of the phone number every time.
With the help of this feature, users will be able to easily understand which unknown person has saved their number without any reason. This feature will be useful for participants in large group chats where it is difficult to keep track of who is in the group.
The report states that this feature is currently available to some beta testers, who are using the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app. It is expected to be rolled out to more users in the coming days.
