In this feature, users get the facility to send short videos i.e. videos up to 60 seconds in the form of messages. The feature has been added by default to the app's settings.

The company has reportedly added a new toggle to the app's settings that gives users more control over this feature. According to a report by WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, a new toggle for the instant video messaging feature has been added in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.18.1.70 and WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.18.21 update. It will be introduced to more users in the coming days.

This is how the feature will work
The company has released a new toggle for instant video messages. Users can manually change or turn off this toggle from the audio message toggle by going to Settings. Let us tell you that even if users turn off this feature, they can still receive short video messages from other users.

To use the new feature of WhatsApp, users will get the option of a video message next to the text box. You tap on it, then the camera of the phone will open. After recording a video, you can also send it directly. By default, the audio in video messages will be muted, but you can turn it on as per your convenience. If this feature has not yet come to your phone, then you can update your WhatsApp to get this feature.
