WhatsApp is currently testing a feature that will alert users about new unseen status updates from their contacts, which will be included in an upcoming update of the app.
However, it is not clear whether the user will get a status notification for every app installed in the app or if any rule will be made for this. In this case, it is believed that the alert may be received when the user has been mentioned in a status and he has not seen that status.
This means that this feature is for the purpose that users do not miss anything that is related to them and is useful to them.
WhatsApp can give priority to informing users about unseen status updates from their favourite contacts so that relationships remain sweet and each other gets updated. It has been told in the report that this feature is currently in the testing stage and it will be made available in the upcoming updates.
