  • Including minerals and vitamins in the diet

In regards to weight loss, there have been few studies that have looked at the effects of these diets on a person's weight. A study by BioMed Central (BMC) concluded that a detox diet helps burn fat through calorie restriction.

In addition, a detox diet for weight loss facilitates better digestion. It helps in flushing out the toxins from your body, thereby boosting your metabolism. A healthy digestive system and metabolism will help you achieve your desired weight loss goals.

Detox in the morning

A detox drink is great at the beginning of the day to lose weight. With all the desert and oily foods, your body needs a detox which will help in flushing out all the toxins.

Make a detox drink by mixing cucumber, mint, lemon and a little honey and have it in the morning. It will aid in digestion and make you feel very light after all that heavy food.

Make vegetables your best friend

Often during parties, you consume a lot of fried foods and sweets and you need vegetables to balance it all. So try to eat fresh vegetables as they are rich in fibre and ensure that your gut health is in good shape.

Have vegetables in the form of salads, or you can also have vegetable smoothies. Make sure that one of your meals includes a lot of green, leafy vegetables so that you can shed those extra kilos.

Reduce sugar intake

If you want to lose weight then you have to say goodbye to those delicious cookies and pastries. The best way to cut down on sugar is to avoid all desserts and replace your sugar cravings with fruits. Fruits are a great source of essential nutrients and they keep you full for longer.

Apples, berries, kiwis, oranges and avocados are some of the easily available and delicious fruits that you can eat.

Say no to alcohol

Consumption of alcohol can lead to excessive body weight. So make sure to cut down on the alcohol once the parties are over. Replace alcohol with fresh fruit juices or smoothies or detox drinks which are healthy sources of nutrition and will help you lose weight.

Lemon-ginger juice, beetroot juice, celery juice, pomegranate juice and carrot juice are low in calories and high in dietary fibre, which helps reduce weight.

Include antioxidants in the diet

Antioxidants are known to aid in weight loss. Antioxidants help prevent free radicals in the body and are a great option to get back in shape right after the parties.

Green tea, matcha tea, beans, nuts and blueberries are rich in antioxidants. Make sure to include any one of these in your daily diet and see a great difference in your body weight. Even if you feel a bit bloated, green tea or matcha tea will make you feel lighter.

Follow these easy tips from experts and make a few changes to your diet, and you will be in shape in a matter of days.
