Walnuts - 1 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Saffron - half a pinch
Sugar – 1/2 cup (as per taste)
Walnut Pudding Recipe
To make walnut pudding rich in taste and nutrition, first, break the walnuts and take out their pulp. Now heat water in a vessel. After heating the water, put one cup of walnut pulp in it and soak it for 20 minutes. After this, separate the water from the walnuts and grind the walnut pulp coarsely by putting it in a mixer. After this, put ground walnuts in a pan and dry roast them on low flame till they turn golden brown.
When the color of the walnuts turns golden brown, add half a cup of milk and cook stirring well with the help of a ladle. After 1 minute, mix sugar and cardamom powder in the milk. After cooking the halwa for 2 more minutes, put saffron threads in it and cook the halwa for 10 minutes on medium flame. During this, keep stirring the walnut halwa in between. Cashew and almond powder can also be added to increase the taste of walnut halwa. When the sweet smell starts coming from the walnut halwa, turn off the gas. Walnut pudding is rich in taste and nutrition is ready.
