Where should clothes be kept?
According to Vastu Shastra, it should be kept in the south-west direction of the house. By keeping it here, there is no shortage of money in the house, but it should never be kept in the northeast direction. Opening its door in the south direction is also not considered auspicious. This has a negative impact on the financial condition of the house.
Do not place it directly on the ground
If the cupboard of the house is not adjacent to the wall then do not keep it directly on the ground. Place a wooden stand or something else under it. The money cupboard is considered to be the form of Goddess Lakshmi, hence keeping it directly on the ground is not auspicious. To remove the defects, it is considered appropriate to keep a piece of cloth or wood under the cupboard.
Keep silver coins in the money cupboard and Gomti Chakra in red cloth. Worship this auspicious coin and Gaumati Chakra on Diwali. This will strengthen the financial condition of the house and the members will also progress.

There should not be a cupboard made of marble or stone in the house. According to Vastu, it is auspicious to keep an iron or wooden cupboard in the house. Apart from this, do not keep a mirror above the cupboard even by mistake, a mirror kept here is considered to be the cause of domestic discord.
