It is said that by tapping the stones in the temple, the sound of Damru comes out. Some people also believe that even just by touching the stones, the sound of Damru starts coming out. Every day thousands of devotees reach for this mysterious story to have a darshan and listen to the sound of Damru. Especially in the month of Sawan, lakhs of devotees reach here every day for darshan.

It is very easy to reach Jaloti Mandir. Buses also ply for Solan from the states of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana etc. Himachal Roadways bus also runs from Delhi Kashmiri-Gate.

The nearest airport is Shimla. From here one can easily reach Solan by taking a cab or taxi. One can also reach Jaloti Mandir temple by reaching Shimla by Kalka-Shimla train.
