Throat pain is the most common complaint that every patient gets. It is mostly due to inflammation in the throat (due to cough, cold, viral, covid, etc.). In Ayurveda, we know it by the name of 'Haridra'. It is bitter and pungent in taste and hot in nature.

Due to its warming power, it helps to reduce Vata and Kapha, while its bitter taste allows it to balance Pitta to some extent. Turmeric has been used in Ayurveda for treating colds, coughs, sore throats, wound healing, diabetes, body aches, arthritis, building immunity, reducing inflammation, and other disorders.

Ways to use turmeric according to Ayurveda: -
Gargle with turmeric water. Take a glass of water, put 1 tbsp turmeric in it, and boil it for 3-5 minutes. Gargle with this water thrice a day.

Take a mixture of turmeric, black pepper, and honey. 1 tsp turmeric, 1 black pepper (preferably freshly crushed) with 1 tsp honey. Take this mixture 2-3 times a day 1 hour before/after meals.

Drink turmeric milk while sleeping at night. If cow's milk is there, the results will be even better.
