Be sure to check AQI before leaving the house. If the air quality is in the worst category then one should avoid going to that place.

Mask is necessary

If you have to go out for important work, then go out only by covering your mouth and nose completely. Make sure that your mask is of good quality that protects you from coming in contact with pollution. You should wear only an N95 mask. This can save a lot. The mask prevents microscopic particles present in the air from entering the respiratory tract.

Put on sunglasses

Pollution is also dangerous for your eyes. Due to this, you may have problems like burning, itching and redness in the eyes. In such a situation, whenever you go out, make sure to wear glasses. This will help in keeping the eyes safe to a great extent.

Hydration is important

Whenever you go out, hydrate your body only. Also, keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Its first advantage is that it removes toxic substances. Secondly, water keeps the lung passages moist, which can prevent respiratory problems.

Stay away from smoking

Many people are addicted to smoking. In such a situation, if you go out due to pollution, avoid smoking because your lungs are already badly affected by pollution. In such a situation, if you smoke, it can put you at great risk. Your lungs can be badly damaged.

Go out with your skin covered

To protect the skin, always wear full-sleeved clothes when going out. Due to pollution, you may have rashes, itching or burning problems. If possible, go out after completely covering your face with a scarf or handkerchief.
