Now after 5 minutes, when the color of the mawa turns black, understand that flour has been mixed in it. Whereas, the saffron color of the tincture indicates the purity of mawa.
Check color
You can also detect adulteration in it by the color of mawa. Please tell that the real Mawa where dark brown. On the other hand, when mava is adulterated, its color appears white and light yellow.
Do the smell test of mawa
You can identify real and fake Mawa even by smelling it. Real Mawa smells like milk whereas fake Mawa is largely odor free.
