Cholesterol is a waxy substance that plays an important role in the formation of body cells, hormones, and other vitamins. The problem starts when we eat fatty food and excess cholesterol gets deposited. Which is difficult for the body to expel. To control cholesterol levels, Ayurveda suggests several techniques that include dietary changes, yoga asanas, breathing techniques, and herbal supplements, among other techniques.

Nutritionist and wellness expert Karishma Shah in her latest Instagram post has given some home and ayurvedic tips to reduce cholesterol levels.

1) Changes in food and lifestyle- Managing phlegm is very important to managing cholesterol. In this case, it is necessary to eat a Kapha balance. Also, if you are lazy then it may not be healthy for cholesterol.

2) Coriander Seeds- Coriander seeds are rich in folic acid, vitamin A and vitamin C. These seeds are a great way to speed up your body's detox process.

3) Fenugreek seeds- Fenugreek seeds have been used for many years for their medicinal properties. These seeds are rich in vitamin E and have anti-diabetic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

4) Reduce oily food – Palm oil and coconut oil are high in saturated fat which can increase the risk of LDL cholesterol and heart disease.
