Ingredients for making Masala Vada
- 500 grams chana dal
- 4 red chilies
- 50 grams of chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 100 grams urad dal
- 4 green chilies
- as required curry leaves
- 200 ml refined oil

How to make Masala Vada
To make this easy recipe, wash and soak gram and urad dal in water.

After this put them in a blender and make a thick paste.

Add red and green chilies with little water and grind them once again to make a fine batter.

Keep in mind that the batter should be thick and not thin.

Take out the batter in a big bowl and add curry leaves, chopped onions, and asafoetida and mix well with a spoon.

Keep a pan on medium heat and heat oil in it.

Take out small portions of the batter and slowly pour them into the oil.

Deep fry them till they turn brown. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
