If you are also an iPhone user and use the Google Photos app and are worried about transferring photos of the Google Photos app to iCloud, then there is good news for you. Google and Apple are launching a new tool, after which Google Photos photos can be easily transferred to iCloud. The new tool is part of the Data Transfer Initiative (DTI).

This tool of Google Photos will be released in the next few weeks. By the way, even now Google Photos photos can be uploaded to iCloud, but first, the photos have to be downloaded and then uploaded to iCloud.

After the new update, all photos can be transferred to iCloud without downloading. Apple has given information about this new tool on its support page. Transferring photos from Google Photos to iCloud does not mean that your photos will be deleted from Google Photos. Your photos will be safe in Google Photos.

This new tool will not support child accounts. For your information, let us tell you that DTI was launched in the year 2023. Apple, Google, and Meta have partnered for this.
