Mango pieces - 1 cup
Milk - half cup
Grated coconut - 3 cups
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Saffron - 1 pinch
Sugar – 1 cup (as per taste)
Mango Burfi Recipe
Mango Burfi is the perfect sweet dish for the summer season. To make Mango Burfi, first cut the mango and cut its pulp into pieces and store it in a bowl. Now add mango pieces and half a cup of milk in a blender and blend them. Keep in mind that a smooth puree of mango should be ready. A little more milk can be added to make puree as needed.
Now put a pan on the gas to heat it. Put mango puree in it and cook on low flame. After some time, add 1 cup of sugar to the puree and keep stirring with a spoon until the sugar dissolves completely with the puree. After this add 3 cups of grated coconut in the puree and cook. Meanwhile, take some lukewarm milk in a small bowl and add saffron threads to it and dissolve it.
Now pour the milk with saffron thread into the pan and mix it well with the puree. Now cook the mixture for about 10 minutes so that it can thicken properly. It may take 15-20 minutes for the mixture to be completely ready. When the mixture is cooked properly, add cardamom powder to it and turn off the gas.
After this, take a plate/tray and apply some ghee on its bottom. After this, spread the prepared mixture in equal proportions in the tray. After this, leave the mixture for half an hour to set. When the mixture is set, cut it into the shape of a barfi with the help of a knife. Tasty Mango Barfi is ready. Can serve it to eat. Along with this, Mango Burfi can be kept in an airtight container.
