Ingredients for making semolina apple
1 cup semolina
1 cup curd
1/2 cup water
1 small onion (this is optional)
1 carrot
1 green chilli
1/4 cup coriander leaves
Salt according to taste
1/2 mustard
8-10 curry leaves
2 tsp oil (for tempering)
Oil (for applying to the apple pan)
1/2 tsp baking soda
Method
To make an apple, first of all, you have to prepare its batter. For this, take semolina in a bowl and add curd in equal quantity to it. Now if it seems thick, then prepare the batter by adding some water to it. Now soak it for about half an hour.
When the semolina swells, mix all the chopped vegetables in it. After this, prepare it by adding salt according to taste.
Now you have to prepare the tempering of the batter. For this, heat 2 tsp oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds to it. When the mustard seeds start crackling, add curry leaves to it. After frying it for a few seconds, add the seasoning to the batter and mix well. Finally, add baking soda to it and mix it gently.
Now heat the pan and apply oil to it with the help of a brush. After applying oil, fill the batter in every groove of the pan with the help of a spoon. Finally cover the pan and cook on medium flame. When it turns golden and gets cooked, take it out and serve it with coconut chutney or your favorite chutney.
