In every house, people eat tea and paratha with great enthusiasm. But do you know how harmful the combination of paratha and tea is to your health? Disadvantages of eating paratha with tea
- Paratha is considered a heavy food because of the amount of oil it contains. When such heavy food is eaten with tea, it can cause reflux. Consuming tea and paratha can harm the acid-base balance and lead to severe acidity.
- Consuming tea and paratha can also cause blood deficiency and you can become a victim of anaemia. The phenolic chemical is present in tea, which stimulates the formation of iron complexes in the stomach lining. This stops the absorption of iron. Therefore, tea should not be consumed with food. Especially those people who already suffer from anaemia.
- The tannins found in tea combine with proteins to act as antinutrients. Due to this, digestion slows down. The body becomes unable to utilize nutrients.
- Parathas can be heavy on your stomach. They are rich in calories and fat. Due to this your weight may increase. Milk in tea contains sugar and paratha contains fats. If you start your day with such food early in the morning, you may consume extra calories and your weight may increase.
- The saturated fat in paratha and milk fat in tea can contribute to increased levels of bad cholesterol, putting you at risk of heart disease and stroke.
